Bob Higgins
Bob is the President & CEO of Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Inc., a 375 person engineering and architectural firm that provides services across the country from 10 offices in the southeast.
Bob has lived in Williamson County for 13 years. He has served on various community boards and committees, both in Tennessee and former residence in Kentucky, including the Boys & Girls Club, YMCA and the Chamber of Commerce. He was also awarded the Horizon Award in his former Leadership Franklin class of Simpson County, KY.
Bob received his BS in Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and is a licensed professional engineer in both TN and KY. He also served four years in the United States Air Force and is a Desert Storm Veteran.
He enjoys spending time with his young daughter, and is an accomplished wood turning artist, inspired by his grandfather.
Bob believes that “making a difference” is important for leaders, and a more comprehensive understanding of the community as a whole can better equip him to accomplish this change. He is anxious to “give back”, especially to those considered less fortunate than others, an often overlooked segment of our generally affluent community.
