Derwin Jackson
Serving as the Executive Director for the Franklin Housing Authority, Derwin is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of 297 units of public housing as well as providing social and educational programs.
Derwin has lived in Williamson County for 1 ½ years. He has been involved with the City’s Affordable Housing Commission as well as volunteered for the UCRF Organization. He loves both playing and refereeing basketball, reading and spending time with his family.
He has a BS degree in Accounting, a Masters degree in Public Administration, and a Public Housing Certification from Rutgers University.
Derwin is eager to learn all he can about his new home, and find his niche in serving the community. He especially is interested in forming relationships that will help serve those in the community who are considered less fortunate. Not surprising, he has identified as a challenge for Franklin the transformation of public housing.
