Jay Sheridan
Jay has lived in Williamson County for most of his life. He is self-employed, serving as President of Sheridan Public Relations. His background includes serving as an Account Supervisor with a large metro PR firm as well as Director of Communications for a large healthcare company.
Now that he works in Franklin and for himself, he can be more involved in community affairs. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County, the Battlefield Task Force of the City of Franklin, and the Sustainability Task Force of Franklin. He is also a graduate of the Citizen’s Government Academy.
Jay attended BGA and St. Andrews Sewanee School. He has a BA degree in News/Editorial Journalism, with a minor in English, from the University of Mississippi. He loves writing, gardening, and renovating old houses.
Jay hopes to gain further insight into the inner workings of a celebrated community. He has identified as a concern the infrastructure of the city in relation to the city’s growth—a byproduct of being a place that is highly desirable. Forward thinking is his motto.
